Minecraft Dome Generator

Generate every horizontal ring for a Minecraft dome. Start with the full-diameter base layer and follow the shrinking charts toward the top.

One half of a sphere.
A dome begins at the equator, so it covers a circular room without requiring the lower half of a complete sphere.

How to make a dome in Minecraft

  1. Build the full-diameter circular base.
  2. Mark its center and keep a vertical reference pillar.
  3. Select Layer 2 and place it one block above the base.
  4. Continue upward, centering every shrinking ring.
  5. Remove temporary center markers after closing the top.

Hollow dome roofs

Use Outline for a one-block shell. Each chart shows the exposed ring on that level. Add interior supports separately rather than filling every layer, especially on large survival builds.

Filled domes and terrain

Filled mode returns the entire horizontal disk at each height. It is useful when the dome represents a hill, mound, planet section, or solid sculpture instead of an interior roof.

Dome sizing

The generated dome follows hemisphere proportions, so its height is about half its diameter. For a taller or flatter roof, use an oval profile as a construction reference or divide the height manually. The sphere generator provides the complete mirrored shape.
