Layer-by-layer ball builder

Minecraft Sphere Generator

Turn a sphere into horizontal block layers. Select the diameter, move from the bottom layer to the top, and build every circle around the same center axis.

Every layer is buildable.
The lower and upper halves mirror each other, while the widest layers meet around the sphere’s equator.

How to build a sphere in Minecraft

A block sphere is a stack of circular cross-sections. Begin with Layer 1 at the bottom, keep a vertical marker through the center, and place each subsequent layer directly above the previous chart. The upper layers repeat the lower pattern in reverse order.

Hollow or filled sphere

Outline mode displays the shell required on the current horizontal layer. Filled mode displays every block inside that cross-section, which is useful for terrain, solid sculptures, and checking the complete volume.

Choosing a sphere diameter

Odd diameters have a central block and one widest middle layer. Even diameters center between blocks and have two layers around the midpoint. Small spheres emphasize their pixel steps; larger spheres appear smoother from normal viewing distance.

Keep every chart centered. A one-block horizontal offset on any layer creates a visible bulge. Mark the center axis before placing the first layer.

Sphere versus dome

A sphere includes both lower and upper halves. For roofs, observatories, or hemisphere builds that start with the widest ring at ground level, use the Minecraft dome generator.
