How the Minecraft oval generator works

The generator maps a mathematical ellipse onto a square block grid. Each block center is tested against the selected width and height, producing a balanced pixel oval across both axes. Outline mode keeps the outside edge while Filled mode returns the complete footprint.

How to build an oval in Minecraft

  1. Choose the total outside width and height.
  2. Mark the two center axes in your build area.
  3. Place the longest center rows first.
  4. Follow the chart outward and mirror each completed quarter.
  5. Check all four edge points before raising walls.

Oval, ellipse, and stretched circle
